# Create Layer

> Adds a new layer to a layer structure. If `name` is omitted, it is auto-generated from `attachment`/`limit` (e.g. `10x25`, `Primary 25`, `Ground Up`), with a numeric suffix appended if that name is already used within the structure. `participation_amount` cannot be set directly; only `participation_percent` is accepted here.
